01Full Member
Qualified and practising Kenyan Sign Language interpreters who meet KSLIA requirements. Full members may participate fully in Association affairs, attend general meetings, vote subject to the Constitution, stand for office where eligible, and access member benefits.
02Associate Member
Individuals interested or involved in Kenyan Sign Language interpreting and professional activities who do not meet all Full Membership requirements.
03Student Member
Students undertaking recognized training or studies related to Kenyan Sign Language interpreting.
04Non-Practising Member
Qualified interpreters who are not currently practising but wish to remain connected to the profession and Association.
05Corporate Member
Organizations or institutions that support, employ, provide related services to, or have an interest in Kenyan Sign Language interpreting and accessibility.
06Honorary Member
An individual recognized by KSLIA for distinguished contribution to interpreting, the Deaf community or the Association.
07Fellow
A distinguished professional recognized for significant contribution to the profession, the Association or the development of interpreting.

Full membership
- At least 18 years of age
- Recognized interpreting qualification or certification
- Required professional experience
- Commitment to ethics and standards
- Applicable CPD requirements

Student membership
- Enrolment in a recognized relevant programme
- Proof of current student status
- Completed application
- Applicable student fee
Corporate membership
- Legally recognized organization or institution
- Relevant interest in interpreting, accessibility or Deaf inclusion

Approved fee schedule required
KSLIA membership fees are determined in accordance with the Association’s approved fee structure. After an application is completed, applicants should follow the official payment instructions supplied by KSLIA.
